EUROVISION 2023 REVIEW: Spain

As promised, I will be reviewing each Eurovision entry in the most inconsistent way possible. The entries will be reviewed in a random order using my personal wheel on the Wheel of Names website.

Next is Spain. They are sending Blanca Paloma with “Eaea”

Date chosen: Feburary 4, 2023

Method: Benidorm Festival. 18 acts battled throughout the week for the chance to represent Spain in Liverpool

What I think: First, Spain is bringing the flamenco flavor to Liverpool, which is a hit among Eurovision fans. I’m always on the lookout for more traditional sounds being mixed with their modern counterparts, and considering what they had sent last year through the same festival, Spain hit it out of the park. Although not in my personal top 10, this may have the potential to keep Spain’s run on the left side of the scoreboard alive

Ranking: 7.5/10

Chance (of qualifying and/or winning): I’m unsure if it will win, but I wouldn’t mind. Honestly, I would say a top-10 finish
