The one-time champs are on the host seat for today’s post. Here is Azerbaijan’s entry: Fahree ft Ilkin Dovlatov — Özünlə Apar

29-year-old Fakhri Ismayilov (Fahree, April 11, 1995) is an Azerbaijan singer and songwriter. He will be joined on stage by 33-year-old mugham singer Ilkin Dovlatov (June 16, 1990). Fahree was chosen to represent the country on March 7, 2024. 8 days later, his song was released on YouTube, where it was also announced that Ilkin will be joining him on stage. It was the last song to be revealed for 2024

I appreciate the traditional sounds that Azerbaijan is bringing and I also appreciate that they’re sending something in Azerbaijan (even if partially) but it feels like it’s in the middle for me. Fahree’s voice kinda makes up for it, so I can’t be too mad about it. I would give it a 7/10.

Fahree and Ilkin will perform 12th in the first semi-final on May 7 between Moldova and Australia (although Sweden will perform before Azerbaijan)
